Danny is an ambitious and creative chef with a passion for flavour and fresh ingredients.

His interest in cooking began at a young age when Danny watched his father reach the finals on MasterChef 1993. Watching his father’s passion for cooking inspired him to spend time in the kitchen, learning culinary techniques and sampling new flavours.

Having been a chef for over 18 years Danny’s career has taken him on an exciting journey. Starting as a pot wash in his local village pub whilst still at school, he went on to achieve an advanced Professional Chef diploma at College. From there he has worked in numerous high-end Restaurants including Fawsley Hall, and cooked for several celebrities, such as Jay Z.

In 2014 Danny became Head Chef and co-owner of The Kings Head Fine Dining Restaurant in Spratton, Northamptonshire. Through his passion for producing delicious and exquisitely presented dishes the The Kings Head were runners-up in Carlsberg Pub Restaurant of the Year 2013/14, the same year as opening. Then claimed Carlsberg Restaurant of the Year Food and Drink Award 2014/15.

When it comes to produce, he refuses to compromise on quality. Food provenance is very important to Danny therefore he works closely with his suppliers to source ingredients from local farmers and greengrocers, with the aim not only to use the freshest ingredients, but to also have a positive effect on the local community.
